Understanding The Client Contract

The contract exists to protect us in the event of legal disputes. It does not involve any kind of legal trickery or the sort. In simple terms, the contract states the following:

1. We own the rights to whatever we design
2. The client owns usage rights to their site
3. We reserve the right to remove your site for doing illegal things
4. We have the right to block access or slow your site for failure to pay
5. Failure to pay will result in late fees
6. We charge for additional services
7. Travel costs extra
8. Misusing our system is a violation of your account and will be terminated

Those are a lot of the basics. As with any legal document, have an attorney explain it in detail so you’re aware of what you’re signing.
