Tags can be added in WordPress two ways: first tags can be added to a post as it’s being created. To use this option, add the tags to the Tags box in the right sidebar of the Add New Post page. You can then click the Add button inside the Tags box or you can publish the post and they will be added automatically.
The second way to add tags is by clicking or hovering on Posts in the sidebar then opening the Tags menu from the submenu. From there, you can enter the tag name, the slug (how the tag is represented internally and in the URL), and the parent tag category.
