WooCommerce is an e-commerce solution created and maintained by WooThemes. It’s free to use and is available for all clients from the plugins page in the admin area. You can use our help documentation to get started or read WooTheme’s guides and set up WooCommerce on your own very easily.
Requirements
Make sure your theme is compatible with WooCommerce. Most themes we use are, but we sometime use themes that are not compatible to fit tighter client budgets. If you worry about not having a compatible theme, you can contact us and we will be glad to check.
Also make sure you have quality photos of the items you intend to sell. Most people will not buy from sites that have poor photos.
Steps to Activate
- Go to Plugins in the sidebar
- Find WooCommerce in the plugins list
- Hover over it and click Activate
- Choose Let’s Go in the WooCommerce wizard
- Click Continue to create the required pages
- Enter store information
- Setup shipping and tax
- Setup payment options
- Choose to allow or not allow anonymous user data to be collected
From this step WooCommerce is setup and ready for you to create a product. You can create one immediately using the Create your first product! button, but it can be done later.
