Most client’s websites are packaged with a custom email address for that domain. This makes companies appear more professional online and removes the security threat of having a personal email online for everyone to see. This guide will show the steps for how to connect those email addresses to popular email clients such as iOS Mail, Mail.app, and Air Mail. The settings are the same, but each program has a different setup method.
Most programs will ask for the following:
General
Name: Your name that will appear in the from field when sending an email.
Email: The full email address such as contact@your_site.com
Description: A short description for that email account (i.e. Work Email).
Incoming Mail Server
Host Name: box3093.bluehost.com (SSL)
Supported Ports: 993 (IMAP), 995 (POP3)
Username: Your Email
Password: Password (will be included in your client folder)
Outgoing Mail Server
Host Name: box3093.bluehost.com (SSL)
Supported Ports: 465 (server requires authentication)
Username: Your Email
Password: Password (will be included in your client folder)
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, IMAP
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP
